"the way of peace through the breath"

Heart and Wings

The European Sufi Summer School is open to all. It is rooted in an open spiritual tradition of the ancient Chishtia lineage of Sufism. Our transmission (ruhaniyya) is through Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan, Murshid Sufi Ahmed Murad Chisti (Samuel L. Lewis) and Murshid Moineddin Jablonski. Threads of their individual spiritual practice also include Zen Buddhism, mystical Christianity, Bhakti and Advaita Yoga, and Kaballah. The Summer School is staffed by dedicated students connected in various ways to and through this line of spiritual transmission. It is not legally or financially connected with any other Sufi corporation, organization or project.

Our international summer school celebrates the living tradition of the many paths of the heart through Dances of Universal Peace, walking meditation, healing, spiritual music, Sufi zikr (Remembrance), art, Soulwork and Spiritual Psychology and more.

We emphasize teaching “in the footsteps of” our spiritual ancestors with language and practice adapted to the current challenges of humanity and the planet as a whole.

The residential Summer School did not happen in 2020-2022 due to the pandemic, its aftermath, and the war in Ukraine.  In its place, a short series of online Zoom meetings were held.

This year, 2022, there will be a similar set of Zoom classes, on Thursday - Saturday, 30. June - 2 July, 2022.

See the background to our decision for this year, posted 30 March 2022 by the School Director.

Our residential program will, inshallah, resume in 2023 from 24 June - 1 July.

You can also follow up to date progress with the European Sufi Summer School at our #EuropeanSufis Facebook Page here.

Details of the online Zoom meetings 30 June - 2 July 2022 will be posted here as they are available.

The times of the sessions each day will be from 1700-1830 UK time, 1800-1930 in Central Europe.

"The devotion of the heart, the expression of calm compassion, the extension of love, the actual growth of wisdom that is reflected in one's daily deeds - these matter." - Murshid Samuel L. Lewis
