"Living Wholeheartedly Each Moment -
Becoming Fully Human"
A gathering open to all seekers on the path of the heart, of all religions, or none.
It is our goal to
create our everyday lives with our whole hearts, so we can live in an active
way. We do spiritual practice, to attune our hearts to the spirit of guidance,
the will of God, personal and impersonal – in many different ways.
In Sufism we speak of the heart as the center of our love, courage and audacity – everything
what inspires our vitality and understanding of ourselves and others - for
a fulfilled life – inside and outside. We remember, that we are always
held in the Only Heart of the One – with each breath, with each heartbeat.
We don't have to do it ourselves.
We will experience the Divine Names – also
called pathways of the Heart – to heal our feeling of separation from
the source. In this way we can learn to identify with our soul as our Real
Self and further develop our intuition and insight. Our focus will be psychological
healing through dissolving our limited self in the Real. During this process
we practice letting go of all that is no longer helpful for us, which is
hindering us and that hinders us from following the voice of our heart unconditionally.
We cleanse our heart of unnecessary attachment (fana) and prepare
to receive the divine blessing in the Holy Marriage, the union of our human
nature with the divine soul.
"The devotion of the heart, the expression of calm compassion, the extension of love, the actual growth of wisdom which is reflected in one's daily deeds - these matter."
Samuel L. Lewis
The practices we use include Dances of Universal Peace, Walking Meditations,
Zikr (remembrance), Wazifa, Prayer, Song, Soulwork and spiritual psychology,
healing, art, Sufi poetry and stories, meditation and silence.
"Let your weaknesses become keys to your strengths."
When practicing Wazaif (sifat-i-Allah),
divine words of power', we can feel, that God is our lover, our friend, and
not our jailer. All the divine qualities are in us already: When we remember
and call them, we awaken them to new life and strengthen their power in us.
Dedicated to the service of peace and for the benefit of all beings.
We are the creators of our lives – here and now. In Soulwork we listen
to our inner life, to get to know ourselves better. In unison with our soul – our
intuition – we want to learn to master our lives instead of being victims
of circumstances – for our inner peace and peace in the world.
Come and join us for song, dance, music and meditation with brothers and
sisters from many lands as we celebrate the ages-old heritage of the path
of love, harmony and beauty as it applies to life today. May this Summer-School
awaken and inspire you to strive further and further for more life, love,
joy and peace!
Murshid Samuel L. Lewis (1896–1971) was a mystic schooled in both Zen and Sufism, recognized as a teacher in both traditions, who felt that spirituality should be a matter of living experience, not division and conflict. His spiritual successor, Murshid Moineddin Jablonski (1942–2001) believed that spirituality was not fully realized until fully embodied, with all elements of the personality – light and dark – included in a life of joy and compassion. Both lived and taught in the tradition of Hazrat Inayat Khan (1882–1927), who brought the Universal Sufism into the west. On this way we recognize equally all the different spititual traditions of the world and honor them as an expression of the Holy.
